Meet Em!
Em Schultz grew up playing the piano. From the age of four, she began her music studies in Portland, Oregon. She has worked under many respected musicians and teachers including Bobby Brader, Quy Nguyen, and DeAnna Howe. She studied for five years in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. There, she discovered her love for theatre.
She began teaching piano at the age of fifteen, teaching beginner to intermediate levels of all ages. When she was sixteen, she became an accompanist for a local children's theatre. She continued to accompany her peers throughout high school and college for choir and theatre, and would go on to accompany classes for The American Contemporary Ballet Company and rehearsals for Musical Theatre West in Los Angeles, California.
Em earned her degree from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, and since graduation has been a film composer, accompanist, and teacher. She has been a part of films such as Lifetime’s “Saying Yes to Christmas” and “Murder on Maple Drive.” She was also an orchestrator's assistant for the award-winning video game, "Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons". Most recently, she was a music composer for CoComelon at Moonbug Entertainment, creating original content and adaptations for the popular children's YouTube show. She is well versed in classical, musical theatre, film, and pop music.
